About the simplest way there is to fix a chicken, but one of our family favorites. A friend did this some years ago and we have enjoyed it frequently since.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: Varies
Ingredients
Chicken pieces, as many as you want
Italian dressing (NOT creamy)
Directions
Place chicken pieces in large enough plastic ziplock bag to hold all the pieces. Add enough salad dressing to coat. Refrigerate for several hours. Heat grill and cook chicken pieces.
We usually grill only breasts, but this method works equally well with any chicken pieces. We also usually use a zesty Italian dressing.

Pete… I completely forgot about this! I used to make this all the time too and it is so good, moist & tender….I also used to use a Balsamic vinegar dressing (Walden Farm I think) that was fantastic too!
How did I forget about this? Wish I had made this last night instead of the tequila/lime marinade I used….

I started doing the exact same thing in the very early 80’s after seeing venison marinated this way for fondue. Figured if it tenderized venison ….
we do this all the time for grilling. Last night I marinated boneless pork loin chops in fat free Zesty Italian. My past favorite is using Italian with a little fresh lemon thyme and a splash of white wine for chicken. I recently used my new fav which is an Asian Sesame/ginger/soy Lite dressing by Ken’s Steakhouse brand. Excellent!
