I found this recipe years ago on the internet and don’t have the link to share, but it is my favorite Banana Bread recipe!
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 1 loaf of bread
Cook Time: 1-1/4 hoursIngredients
Banana Nut Bread
Serving Size: 10
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup mashed banana – about 3 pieces
1/3 cup milk or buttermilk
1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)
Directions
Cream together butter and sugar.
Add banana, eggs and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add alternately with milk.
Blend well.
Stir in nuts and pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/4 hours.
This recipe can also be used to make banana nut muffins or as a banana nut cake.
Note: I usually double this recipe to make 2 loaves 🙂

This bread recipe is excellent! I’m not a big fan of heavy banana tastes and this bread has a very light banana flavor. I used chopped walnuts and they seemed to match up well.

Yummy good! We tried this for the second time and have about decided that doubling the recipe would make three nice (for us) sized loaves.
We managed to burn it this time, and it was STILL a lovely loaf! Ya gotta love a recipe that is still great when left in the oven waaay past being done. 😉
