My aunt gave us this recipe years ago and it’s a family favorite. Haven’t tried it with other meat. Knackwurst can be ordered from Usingers.com.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 6
Ingredients
1-16 oz package angel hair pasta
1-1/2 cup sliced onion
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 cup beer
1 Tbsp horseradish
1 Tbsp carawy seed
1/4 cup butter
1 lb knackwurst, sliced diagonally
1/3 cup sour cream
1 Tbsp spicy brown mustard
Directions
Cook pasta until barely done – it will cook more later. Meanwhile heat butter in large skillet. Add onion and knackwurst. Saute 5 minutes. Stir in soup, beer, sour cream, horseradish, mustard and caraway seed. Simmer 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain pasta and place 1/2 in a greased 13×9 pan. Spoon over 1/2 of mixture. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
