I found this sandwich on a friend’s blog and recently made it into finger sandwiches for a fund raiser. We had some other foods, too, but made $500 dollars in one day! So I’d call this a definite winner!
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: depends--1 lb bacon and packet of salmon made about 20 finger sandwiches, or 4 largish regular sandwiches!
Prep Time: about 15 minutes Cook Time: about 10 minutesIngredients
homemade Grandmother bread
butter
mango chutney
smoked salmon
good quality, thick sliced bacon
lettuce
cayenne pepper
Directions
Slice up some Grandmother bread. Toast and butter both slices. Slather one slice with mango chutney.
Fry up some meaty bacon and place on top of chutney, add a leaf of lettuce and several slabs of salmon.
Shake a little cayenne pepper on top and cover with final slice of toast. Mmm- good!
