My Aunt made this for a family get together. She made a two layer cake instead of a 9×13 sheet cake. It was YUMMO!!! I haven’t made it myself yet, so I’m not sure about prep time.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 12 (Very rich)
Cook Time: 40 minutesIngredients
Cake:
1 Box Betty Crocker Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix
1 1/4 cup water
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup softened butter
3 eggs
Peanut Butter Frosting:
1 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 sticks butter at room temperature
3 cups sifted confectionery sugar
4 – 5 Tbsp milk
3 tsp vanilla
Directions
Cake:
Heat oven to 350-degrees. Spray bottom of 9 x 13 pan. In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, peanut butter, butter, and the 3 eggs on low speed for 30 seconds.
Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Scrape bowl. Bake at 35 – 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Run knife around cake. Cool an additional 1 hour before frosting.
Frosting:
Blend on low speed the peanut butter and butter. Add sugar, milk and vanilla. Blend on low until sugar is combined, about 1 minute. Increase speed to medium until frosting lightens and is fluffy. If too thick beat in up to 1 Tbsp more milk.
