Nona’s Mocha Nut Balls

Mom used to make these cookies every year at Christmas, they are my favorite and now they are my daughter’s favorite cookie.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: around 2 dozens

Prep Time: 15 minutes   Cook Time: 13 to 15 minutes  

Ingredients

1 cup of soft butter
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp instant coffee
1/4 cup of baking cocoa
1 3/4 cups of flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups of ground pecans
2 cups of powdered sugar

Directions

Cream one cup of butter at room temp. add 1/2 cup sugar add 2 tsp of vanilla. Add 2 tsp of instant coffee and 1/4 cup of baking coca and 1/2 tsp salt add 1 and 3/4 cups of flour and 2 cups of ground pecans mix until its all combined, then chill for two hours.
Preheat oven at 325. Roll into small balls and place on cookie sheet bake for 13 to 15 minutes, when cool enough to handle roll in powdered sugar!
