Developed on a very snowy day when we were craving BQ ribs and there was no BQ sauce in the house……. Don’t let the weird list of ingredients scare you …. we haven’t bought any since (and I make triple batches and can it!).
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 3 cups
Ingredients
1 can tomato soup
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup honey, molasses, or dark corn syrup
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 Tbsp. oil
1 Tbsp. red wine or cider vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
2 Tbsp. dehydrated onion flakes
Directions
Bring all ingredients almost to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until thick & dark, stirring often (20 to 40 minutes).
