This is a quick & easy dessert that draws raves again and again.

Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: N/AIngredients
First Layer:
1 Cup Flour
1 Stick Margarine (1/2 Cup)
1 Cup chopped Pecans
Second layer:
1 pkg (8 oz) Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 small carton (4 ½ oz) Cool Whip
Third layer:
1 pkg. Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
1 pkg. Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
3 cups milk
Top layer:
1 large carton (13 ½ oz) Cool Whip
Shaved Chocolate, optional
Directions
First layer:
Mix together flour and margarine; add chopped nuts. Press into bottom of 9 X 13 inch pan; bake at 350 approximately 20 minutes until lightly browned. Cool
Second layer:
Cream together powdered sugar and cream cheese; fold into this mixture the Cool Whip. Spread on top of first layer.
Third layer:
Mix pudding mixes with milk; when it begins to thicken, spread on top of previous layer.
Top layer:
Spread Cool Whip on top of third layer; sprinkle with shaved chocolate if desired.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! My grandmother used to make this for my family for special occasions all the time (loved this more than cake) although she called it “Texas Goodie Cake” not sure why but thank you so much for this recipe!

You are certainly welcome…it’s ‘saved’ me over an over again when I need something for unexpected company or to take to a potluck. Over the years I’ve learned to ‘lighten’ it up by using Sugar Free Instant Pudding, Neufchatel and Cool Whip Free and it’s still delicious but much lower in calories!
