Don’t let the title fool you. This cake is rich and delicious even if it sounds and looks a little weird!

1 can cherry pie filling
1 can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 box yellow cake mix, use DRY
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup butter, cut into slices
Directions
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
“Dump” each ingredient into a 9″x13″ ungreased cake pan in the order given, spreading it to fit into the pan.
In more detail: pour the cherry pie filling into the cake pan. Spread it around as evenly as possible. Next, dump on the crushed pineapple and spread around as evenly as possible. Pour on the dry yellow cake mix and spread around. Sprinkle on the chopped walnuts and shredded coconut. Last, evenly distribute the slices of butter over the top. Do not stir the layers!!
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling with cherry pie filling.
Let cool for 15-20 minutes and serve with your favorite vanilla ice cream.
