This recipe comes from the Mommy’s Kitchen website. It may sound kind of odd, but it is very good. My kids gobbled it up and asked for seconds.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 4-6
Ingredients
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
2-3 Tbsp flour
1 heaping Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 cup milk
1 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Add dry ingredients to a medium sized pot. Add milk and whisk until combined. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and stir constantly to prevent scorching. After the mixture thickens, remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
Pour over fresh biscuits and enjoy! Try to refrain from licking the plate in the presence of other people. If alone, go for it! It’s that good!
This would also be good as a sauce drizzled over a pound cake.
