This cake gets its name from the cracks that appear on the surface as it bakes!

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
2 cups coconut flakes
1 (18 oz.) pkg. pudding-in-the mix German chocolate cake mix or chocolate
1 (8 0z.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick cooled butter
4 cups confectioner’s sugar
can put some semi-sweet chips on top of batter
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread bottom of 9×13 pan with parchment or grease very well the bottom.
Sprinkle the coconut and nuts on bottom. Prepare the cake according to package directions and pour into pan.
Beat together cream cheese, cooled melted butter, and confectioner’s sugar; spread on top of batter, but being careful not to put ALONG THE EDGES OF THE PAN OR IT WILL OOZE OUT!
Bake for 1 hour.
