5 ingredients if you don’t count water, and everyone thinks it is a really special dish with secret ingredients! It just wouldn’t be a holiday around our house if we didn’t have this. This is easily doubled for a 9 X 13 pan for making a crowd happy.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: About 9 Generous
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: no cooking, just chillingIngredients
2 small boxes cherry Jello-O(or any flavor you like with cranberries. We like one package of black cherry and one package of raspberry lately.)
2 cups boiling water
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce (or one pint homemade!)
1 pint (16 ounces) sour cream
1 cup chopped nuts of choice. (We like walnuts or pecans, or a combination of the two.)
Whipped cream or topping (optional)
Directions
Pour boiling water over Jell-O in a bowl. Add cranberries and beat until the Jell-O has completely dissolved. Chill until thick and syrupy.
Fold in sour cream and chopped nuts. Spread into a 8 X 8 dish. Cover and return to refrigerator until solid.
Looks pretty cut into squares with a little dollop of whipped cream on top.
