This is our favorite thing to make on the grill right now….
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: flexible
Prep Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5-10 minsIngredients
Crusty Italian Bread (sliced 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick)
Olive oil (any oil will work for this, I used some garlic oil the other day and it was great)
Whole garlic cloves (peeled)
Tomato cut in half (optional)
Cheese of your choice, shredded — mozzarella, parmesan, fontina asiago…. (optional)
Directions
Preheat Grill.
Brush both sides of sliced bread with oil.
Place bread on grill (45 degree angle to the grates will give you nice grill marks) & grill until desired doneness. Flip and grill other side.
Remove from grill & rub bread with garlic clove & then the cut tomato if using. If using the cheese, sprinkle on to taste & return to the grill to melt.
Enjoy!
