My mom would mix this cake up for a quick dessert when she didn’t have much time to prepare anything fancier. Ice cream or cool whip always was good on the top of a piece of it.

1 – 16-ounce can crushed pineapple
1 can pie filling of your choice (Mine’s cherry)
one regular-size package cake mix (yellow or white)
1 1/2 sticks margarine
Directions
Butter a 9 x 13 inch pan. Turn pineapple and pie filling into pan. Spread DRY cake mix all over fruit. Slice 1 1/2 sticks margarine all over dry cake mix.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
