This cake is a favorite among my mother’s grandkids. One of my kids still requests it for his birthday.

Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 40 minutesIngredients
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (!)
1 small pkg. strawberry Jello
1/2 c. oil
4 eggs
3/4 cup frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed
Directions
Thaw frozen strawberries. Mash with fork or blend in blender. Measure 3/4 cup for cake, save remainder for glaze.
Mix all ingredients together, beating about 2 minutes. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan, bundt pan or sheet pan about 40 minutes at 350F.
For icing/glaze: Cook together 1/2 c. sugar and remaining strawberries until sugar is melted. Let glaze cool. Pour the glaze over the cake while it is still warm.
