This recipe has been passed down through the years by my husband’s family. Kids love to help make these 🙂
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: Varies depending of the size of biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup oil
3/4 cup milk
Jelly
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Grease a baking sheet. Mix all the ingredients except the jelly in a bowl. When mixed, take a ball of dough and flatten it out on a floured surface. Spoon some jelly into the center and pinch the dough closed. Place on the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough. When you have used up all the dough, bake for 10 -12 min. When done, let cool for a bit, hot jelly burns 🙂
