Wonderful, crunchy cereal that is good on it’s own or used as a topping for yogurt, parfaits or fruit crisps

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 45 minutesIngredients
2 cups old fashioned oats
4 1/2 cups whole grain flake cereal or bran flakes
1/2 cup chopped raw almonds
1/2 cup chopped raw pecans
2 Tablespoons of sesame seeds
1/3 cup unsweetened coconut
1/3 cup maple syrup ***
1/3 canola or extra virgin olive oil
*** Real maple syrup is best, pancake syrup can be substituted. Use any combination of nuts and seeds you like.
Directions
Heat oven to 250 degrees. Mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Combine syrup and oil and warm for about 30 seconds in microwave. Stir to mix thoroughly and pour over dry ingredients. Gently mix wet and dry ingredients together. Spread on a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with sides. Bake for 45 minutes or until dry and toasted. Stir every 15 minutes. Store in tightly covered container.
