In the heat of the summer I don’t like to turn oven on too much, so we not only have this for family gatherings, but for lunch and dinner. I like to walk out in my garden and pick fresh lettuce, tomatoes and green onions. Also walk down to the chicken house for some fresh eggs. This is how I gave this salad the name fresh layer salad. Quick, easy, fresh, and yummy good!!
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: many
Ingredients
lettuce
tomatoes
eggs
bacon
green onions
cheese
dressing
Directions
Take a large glass trifle bowl, or any will do. Begin layering lettuce, boiled eggs, tomatoes, crumbled bacon, green onions, ranch dressing and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight or few hours. I love to eat this for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Yummo!!
(Once I was out of the dressing and I mixed mayo, sour cream and salt and pepper for the dressing.)
