My grandma makes this every year for Thanksgiving. It goes so well with the turkey and stuffing!

2 lbs. frozen hash browns
1 pt. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup grated onion
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Topping:
2 cups crushed cornflakes
1/4 cup butter
Directions
In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients (except topping) and press into a 9 x 13 pan. Mix together cornflakes and melted butter. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
