A fig is good in anything!!!

5-6 cups peeled fresh figs
3/4 cups sugar
3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
nutmeg and/or cinnamon to taste
butter
1 (8 inch) pie pastry
Directions
Combine figs, sugar, flour, nutmeg and/or cinnamon; mix well.
Spoon into an 8 inch square baking pan; dot with butter.
Roll pastry to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface; cut into 1/2 inch strips. Arrange strips in lattice fashion over fig mixture.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
