I found this in one of my Mom’s old cookbooks – no title or credits (it’s well used, just a spiral now, but seems like a ‘collection’ type of book) [Note: I have not tried this recipe!] *This recipe has been family handed down since before the Civil War. Mrs. Lucile Seborg.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 2 "loaves"
Ingredients
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1 C All-Bran
1 C white flour
1 C sour milk or buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in:
1 Tbs. hot water
1/2 C nuts
1 C seedless raisins
Directions
Add ingredients in order given. Pour into 2 greased #2 cans. Bake 1 hour in 375 oven. Cool 10 minutes before removing.
