My take on a blackening spice. I usually make enough to last awhile. I use it to coat chicken, steak, in my chili…anything I want to spice up.

2 parts paprika
1 part cumin
1 part cayenne pepper
1 part thyme
1 part pepper (black peppercorn)
1/2 part salt
1/4 part ginger
Editor note: if 1 part = 1 tsp, 2 parts would equal 2 tsp
Directions
Mix ingredients in an empty spice jar.
