Adapted from my Mom’s recipe… Banana bread never lasts long in our house. I’ll make two loaves and it’s gone the next day – with only the two of us eating!

Servings: 6
Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 1 hourIngredients
½ cup Butter
1 cup White Sugar
2 Eggs
3 Ripe Bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
½ cup Milk (or even Water)
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
2 cups Flour
Directions
1. In a large bowl, mix ingredients together in order given. Transfer mixture to a buttered and floured loaf pan.
2. Bake at 350 degrees F. Check after one hour.
Recipe makes one loaf.

Farmkat, your banana bread was delicious! I have a couple of questions…..do u mix after each ingredient? My second one is in the oven as I type! If adding chocate chip morsels, or nuts…should they be added last? Thanks for an easy and delicious recipe!

I’ll usually cream the butter and the sugar together and then add in everything but the flour. Give it another mix and then add the flour in a cup at a time mixing after each.
I don’t add in nuts, but I would do them last and just fold them in.
