This is a very simple recipe, but extremely delicious. We were served this recipe at a B&B years ago and I’ve made it many, many times. Very good for breakfast or as an appetizer.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 3-4
Prep Time: 30 minutes Cook Time: 25-30 minutesIngredients
1 pound bacon, cut into thirds
1 package Lil’ Smokies
brown sugar
large cake roll pan (must have rims on side)
Directions
Take each Lil’ Smoky and wrap it with the one-third strip of bacon. Lay each wrapped Smoky into the cake roll pan with the bacon ends down. Continue wrapping and laying the Smokies into the pan. Once all is wrapped, sprinkle copious amounts of brown sugar over all, making sure that the Smokies are all covered. Pat the brown sugar over all-very gently. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. You’ll want the brown sugar to be liquid-y and be bubbling.
