Don’t know where this recipe came from, but know that it is good – especially if you don’t feel like baking but want a sweet treat.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 15
Prep Time: 15 minutesIngredients
½ cup Brown Sugar
½ cup White Sugar
1 cup White Corn Syrup
1 cup Peanut Butter
6 cups Corn Flakes (lightly Crushed)
1 cup Peanuts
1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup Butterscotch Chips
Directions
Mix the sugars and corn syrup in a sauce pan. Bring to boil for one minute. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter, stir until smooth. In a separate bowl mix cornflakes and peanuts, then pour sugar/peanut butter mixture over and stir. Press into buttered 9 x 13 pan.
Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips about 1 to 1-1/2 minutes in the microwave or over a double boiler. Stir and melt longer if necessary. Stir until smooth then use as frosting over mixture in pan.
You can use milk chocolate chips alone for the frosting.
