Does anyone have a recipe for a dry mix for a cheese ball? I found some really cute cheese spreaders on sale and thought they would make nice little Christmas gifts if I packaged them with a cheese ball mix. I’ve seen packaged mixes at craft fairs and such, but I was hoping I could make one myself. Thanks much!

Sandra–
I found a chocolate-mint cheeseball mix recipe at http://www.Budget101.com that sounds really good. I also have a recipe for mock Boursin cheese which is an herb flavored cream cheese–you could just package the herb mix to give. I think your idea will make really cute Christmas gifts!

Thanks, Judydee. I looked at that chocolate mint cheeseball mix….it sounds good and would certainly be easy! What herb mix do you use for your Boursin? I searched but didn’t find a Boursin recipe here.

I have submitted the recipe for Mock Boursin Cheese. Hope that it will show up soon. Since all of the herbs are dried, I would think it would be easy to pre-mix them and package with directions for adding to the cream cheese.
