This is a very quick and easy danish type recipe to put together. It is always well received and is easily changed to suit your tastes by adding or subtracting ingredients. Also very nice because it is better at room temperature so it can be made in advance.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 20
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutesIngredients
2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 packs of cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
1 t vanilla
4 T butter (melted)
1/4 cup sugar plus 1 T cinnamon, combined
Directions
Lay one can of refrigerated crescent rolls in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan, pressing all the seams closed. Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla together until smooth. Spread on top of crescent rolls and top with the second can of rolls. Pour the melted butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares. *NOTE* Our house prefers these all the way cool. Also, I have dropped a few half teaspoons of jam/jelly onto the cream cheese mixture before topping with the second layer of crescent rolls for a fruit and cheese danish.

I have made this but I use laughing cow light cheese instead of cream cheese and it turns out just as good.
