This is a favorite cake my mom made while I was growing up. It is so moist, no frosting is necessary.

1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Sift together and put into an ungreased 8″x8″ or 9″x9″ square pan: the flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa, salt.
Make 3 holes in the mix, a larger one in the center.
Put the oil in the center hole. Put the vanilla and vinegar in each of the smaller holes.

Dee, how much cocoa do you use (it’s not in the ingredient list)? I was looking for an easy vegan dessert, and this sounds both easy and tasty.
