A good tuna fish casserole. Peas make a good side vegetable.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 2 quart casserole
Cook Time: till hot and bubblyIngredients
1 1/4 cups macaroni
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cup milk
1 can cream of chicken soup (do not dilute)
1 large can tuna fish or 2 small ones (drain liquid from can)
couple slices white bread, cubed
1/2 stick or couple tablespoons butter to melt (to cover bread cubes)
Directions
Cook macaroni in salted water. Fry chopped green peppers and onions in two tablespoons of oil. Add flour and milk; cook till thick then add the cream of chicken soup and the large can of tuna fish. Stir to combine then mix with cooked macaroni and spread buttered cubes on top.
Bake till bread is toasted and casserole is hot and bubbly.
