Last few weeks hobbies have been, huddling around the kerosene heater while power was out for several days. Cooking venison, pork, chicken before meat spoiled due to power outage. (generator still in pieces in the barn, right next to tractor that’s also still waiting for parts) Unfreezing well, driving new water line from house to well pit after unfrozen well burst and flooded cellar. Scolding chickens for not pulling their freight. And shoveling snow, a lot of snow. The usual joys of living at the end of the line.
