We are going to have bucket loads of jalapeno peppers this year! I am not too much into hot relish, but would love to have as many recipes as possible to fully utitilize them.

We really, really liked these bread & butter pickled jalapenos: http://farmbellrecipes.com/bread-and-butter-jalapeno-pickles/
We only made a small test batch and kept them in the refrigerator. This year I plan to use whole spices instead of the ground spices, and do a bwb with them for shelf storage.

Pickling in various ways (including the B&B that Pete mentioned) is a good way. Pickling them without any sugar and cut in halves – you can drain and stuff those for an appetizer. Also great to use in salsa if you like yours warm 🙂 And a co-worker told me this morning that HIS favorite Pepper Butter is made with all jalapenos.

I never have worked with jalapeno peppers except in a relish recipe but in searching the internet I came across this site which had some good ideas.
Hope this is allowed to do ….

Don’t forget to wear gloves when you are prepping your jalapenos!
Anyway,
here is one I love. I’m pasting the link, it isn’t a preserve however. I hope it’s ok to put the link here…
