I’m looking for an old fashioned apple dumpling recipe. Will be using Suzanne’s pie crust recipe. Thank you to anyone who can assist.

Hi Rose, don’t know if this is what you’re looking for but it’s from my Fannie Farmer Cookbook, copyright 1965; with recipes included from clear back to 1896.
Apple Dumplings
Roll or pat Shortcake or Baking Powder Biscuit dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 4-inch squares.
Pare and core small tart apples and place one on each square. Fill apples with sugar mixed with cinnamon and/or nutmeg. (No measurements given) Dot with butter.
Draw the corners of the dough together on top of the fruit. Pinch the edges together. Prick with a fork to release steam.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve warm with Hard Sauce, Foamy Sauce or Lemon Sauce. (I just serve them with vanilla ice cream personally.)

Sorry “Pam”, my finger went to the wrong key or I was having a senior moment! Thanks again!
