Does any one have balanced recipe for dog food? I’m interested in “wet” type recipe . I made one today with ground turkey, carrots, brown rice and hard boiled eggs but am concerned about having enough nutrients. I am also interested in kibble recipe.

I used to make my dogs food by mixing 2 pound ground turkey, a cup of oatmeal, chopped rosemary, and a clove of garlic. I would brown that together, then use a food processor to mince steamed green beans, and a cooked and peeled sweet potato (or a couple of carrots). I would add about a half cup of chopped parsley as well and whiz it up really fine.
Add that to the cooked turkey mixture, then stir in cooked rice (I would start with a cup raw, and use brown or basmati rice). Cook together for a bit, then let cool. This amount lasted for about a week. Sometimes I used ground chicken, lamb, or beef. You could use fish scraps as well, but it doesn’t keep as long.
For breakfast, my dog got 1/4 cup of the food plus 1 tbsp plain yogurt, 1 tbsp plain cooked pumpkin, and 1/2 a chopped apple.
For dinner, she got a 1/2 cup of the food, plus I squeezed on a capsule of non-fish source fatty acids, and mixed in a ground up dog vitamin.
This is for an approx 25 pound pug, and she did very well on it.
