My mom made sour cream cookies back in the late 50s. The recipe was in a HUGE cookbook with a yellow cover. The cookies were cakey, and pale, with a thin brown rim around the edges. Yummy. The sour cream came in a glass 8 oz container that you could then use as a drinking glass. Thanks for any help you can give me in finding this recipe.

I have a recipe for Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Drop Cookies if that might be what you are looking for. Spoonfuls of dough are dropped onto the cookie sheet, then the dough is flattened with a sugar coated glass bottom before baking. These cookies have a tiny bit of nutmeg and some finely chopped walnuts in them. The walnuts could be deleted though. If you would like the recipe, just let me know. It’s from an old Betty Crocker Cookie Cookbood from the 1960’s.
