Thanks a bunch!

Hi Connie –
This crockpot recipe is unbelievably good and ridiculously easy – people will think you spent the day in the kitchen!
KALUA PORK
5-6 lb pork butt
1-1/2 Tablespoon sea or Hawaiian salt
1 to 1-1/2 Tablespoon liquid smoke
1/2 cup or so water (or other liquid)
Score/pierce meat, rub with salt and smoke, and pour liquid around. Cook in crockpot for 10-14 hrs on low, turning once. Shred/pull apart with two forks; add drippings for moisture if needed.
CAROLINA BARBECUE SAUCE
2 cups cider vinegar
2 Tablespoons molasses
1 Tablespoon ground dry mustard
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
4 teaspoons cornstarch
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix cider vinegar, molasses, dry mustard, butter, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire and brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Mix 4 teaspoons cornstarch with 4 teaspoons cold water and slowly add to the sauce; simmer 1 minute. (sauce will be somewhat thin – it’s supposed to be – but will thicken a little as it cools.)
Serve over pulled pork.

Thanks Marianne! That does sound good! Hubby will be happy 🙂 He’s from Texas and misses his BBQ & Mexican foods like crazy! LOL
