I’m looking for a REAL sourdough English muffin recipe that will produce all the bubbly nooks and crannies that, to me, are the hallmark of the perfect English muffin. Does anyone have what I seek? I’d love to use my sourdough starter but if there was a guaranteed recipe without it, I’d give it a go. Thanks!
My Godmother used to make this delicious pie for me when I was little, but I can’t really remember the whole recipe. I remember she started with dried apricots and added a little sugar and stewed them down in her little double boiler. Then they were added to the bottom of an unbaked or baked..I forget..pie crust and some sort of egg custard filling was put on top of that. Sound familiar?? Help!
As a young person, I remember my mother making a spice cake or gingerbread cake with fruit cocktail in it. She doesn’t remember and like most of her recipes, it was never written down. Can anyone help?
My son loves meatloaf and I have never made it. He always has to get it somewhere else. He’s twelve now and I feel the need to keep winning his heart. Help me out with a good (also easy) recipe, please.
I would like to try to make a chicken pot pie for a main entree. The big family size ones where they would dip into it with a serving spoon and serve it on the plate, except I want to use boneless skinless chicken breast instead of chicken pieces. Thanks!
My mom made sour cream cookies back in the late 50s. The recipe was in a HUGE cookbook with a yellow cover. The cookies were cakey, and pale, with a thin brown rim around the edges. Yummy. The sour cream came in a glass 8 oz container that you could then use as a drinking glass. Thanks for any help you can give me in finding this recipe.
My grandmother made delicious yeast rolls….of course, without measuring spoons or cups or recipes. How do you get that great yeasty flavor into yeast rolls? I’ve tried recipe after recipe with no luck. Anyone got an old fashioned, high rising, sweet tasting yeast roll recipe?
