I grew up in the south, Alabama and Florida. My parents, now long gone, made a clam dip for their parties that I have never been able to reproduce. I know that cottage cheese and canned clams were involved. I’ve tried many versions found by googling and none of them have been right. I loved that dip…
I went to Illinois last year and was turned onto this BBQ rub that the local IGA (? store name) made in their department – and it tasted exactly like BBQ chip seasoning, very sweet, not too spicy, you could lick your fingers after handling the rub and swear you just ate BBQ chips. Anyways, it is SO GOOD on pork and the friend who lived there has moved so I no longer get my supply shipped to me, but would LOVE to know if anyone knows the recipe or has one similar. Dry, BBQ rub, can tell there is a lot of brown sugar in it as it hardens quick and has some stickiness to it….
Thank you!!!
I’m looking for ways to cook artichokes. I’ve never made them, and my friend from Germany has asked me a couple of times what they’re for and how they’re made. I have no idea. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
I am trying to figure out how to make a homemade coffee creamer. I was upset to find that the store bought versions have high fructose corn syrup. I am so trying to cut that out of my food supply.
Anyway, I have seen a number of recipes for hot chocolate and even soups that call for using coffee creamer. I am thinking that powdered milk would do but seems I might need to add something to that to get the creamy texture. Any ideas?
I’ve always made cornbread with flour as one of the ingredients, but I really need one that is gluten-free, so flour is not allowed. Does anyone make their cornbread without adding flour? Keeping my fingers crossed. There are so many accomplished cooks on here!
