2 lb. Ground Beef
1 (14 1/2 oz) can Chicken Broth
2 Tbsp. Oil
1 small (egg sized) onion, diced very finely
Crumble ground beef and cook on high heat in oil until pink is gone; drain off excess oil.
Add onion and broth and simmer on lowest possible heat setting until broth is absorbed into meat.
Add salt and pepper to taste.

We make this by boiling the hamburger in the chicken broth, without onions, and it is like the original ones sold in Iowa. I do cool it, take off the fat from the top, so it is healthy. We love this recipe!
