Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium or large bowl, crumble ground beef. Mix in 1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheese; mix. Add 1/2 cup of ketchup; mix with a spoon. Add 1 tsp minced onions or 1 packet of dry onion soup mix (your preference).
Form into patties.

Split English muffins and lightly butter; place on a baking sheet. Place patties on English muffins.

Bake 10-15 minutes (depending on your oven , you may want to check on them sooner, they cook quickly sometimes). You may add a slice of cheese on top or additional shredded cheese.
