This is certainly a crowd pleaser, and is one dish my family requests often.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 6 - 8

Prep Time: 5 min   Cook Time: 5 - 6 hours

Ingredients

2 pounds stew beef or very lean roast cut up into big bite size pieces
1 can cream of celery soup (or mushroom if you like)
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1½ cup 7-UP or Ginger Ale
1 large onion cut in fourths
8 ounces of fresh mushrooms sliced (may use canned mushrooms too OR leave them out completely if you like)

Directions

Place beef, onions, and mushrooms (opt )in crock pot.
Combine celery soup, onion soup mix, gravy mix in a bowl and stir well. Add 7-UP to the bowl. Stir well.
Pour over the ingredients already in the crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
Serve over hot cooked egg noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.

Thank you for posting this delectable recipe. I have made this three times now and must tell you it is in my category of THE BEST RECIPE for BEEF TIPS EVER. The flavor is simply out of this world. I have a relative that is unable to manage kitchen duties due to a stroke. I have made up these prepared tips with the gravy in seal a meal bags and popping it in the microwave is a cinch for an easy toppiing for rice or a baked potato. It is a WINNER for sure and I might say I had to use the ginger ale as I did not have 7 up and I was impressed…. YES I WAS. GREAT RECIPE.

I made this for supper tonight, and although I have not put it altogether, I’ve tasted it and it is yummy. I was so curious with the soda in it.. I had to try it. I know my men folks will love it! 🙂

oh goodness…. make extra because the flavor the next day is simply divine. The combination of all the ingredients just make it a gourmet feast. We always want to look for a combination of ingredients that is easy and quick to come by without laboring and toiling in the kitchen for hours. With this recipe you will find that the ease of making it and the pleasing you present the first day can so divinely be carried over into the next day left overs…. it will not last long.
